Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar Substitute with red wine vinegar for a different flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Regular soy sauce can be used but reduce additional salt
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can be used for a milder taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste
For the Steak
  • 2 to 4 pieces Rib-Eye Steaks Ensure they are at room temperature before cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil Prevents sticking and promotes browning

Equipment

  • Grill or Cast-Iron Skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large zip-top bag, combine the marinade ingredients: balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Add the rib-eye steaks to the marinade in the zip-top bag. Seal the bag tightly and shake gently to coat the steaks. Refrigerate for 2 to 6 hours.
  3. Preheat your medium-high grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat about 20 minutes before grilling.
  4. Remove the rib-eye steaks from the bag, letting excess marinade drip off. Lightly coat each steak with olive oil or vegetable oil.
  5. Place the marinated rib-eye steaks on the preheated grill and grill for 4 to 6 minutes per side.
  6. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for doneness, aiming for 130-135°F for medium rare.
  7. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For optimal flavor, do not exceed six hours for marinating. Use an instant-read thermometer for accuracy in doneness. Allow steaks to rest for juicy, flavorful slices.
