Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 pound Ground Beef can substitute with shredded chicken or black beans
  • 1 medium Onion chopped, yellow or white onion preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder adjust according to spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika smoked paprika can be used
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Tomato Sauce or salsa for a zestier option
For Assembling
  • 8 units Tortillas warm before use to prevent breaking
  • ¼ cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion, cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir in minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and paprika, seasoning with salt and pepper. Add tomato sauce and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Warm tortillas in a clean skillet over low heat, about 30 seconds on each side. Keep them wrapped in a towel to stay warm.
  4. Lay a tortilla on a surface, spoon the beef filling onto one side, sprinkle with cheese, and roll tightly. Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Brush tops with oil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving with dipping sauces.
