Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Create a well in the dry mixture and add the wet ingredients: milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the coating. Stir until well combined.
- Sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the top of the batter in the loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown. A toothpick inserted should come out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
Use room temperature milk and eggs to improve texture. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread light and fluffy. Allow cooling before slicing.
