Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Opt for full-fat for the best texture.
  • 6 oz Beef Bacon Ensure it's crispy and crumbled finely.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Can substitute with chives for a milder taste.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Don't skip this for that punch of taste!
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Perfect for balancing the richness of the filling.
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper Optional for heat; tweak to your spice preference.
For the Chips
  • 1 bag Doritos Choose Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch for best flavor.

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • piping bag or zip-top bag
  • sharp knife

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the beef bacon slices on the sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until they are crispy and browned.
  2. While your beef bacon is baking, set out the cream cheese to soften for about 30-60 minutes until it's soft and spreadable.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crumbled beef bacon, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until creamy.
  4. Transfer the creamy filling into a piping bag or a zip-top bag. Seal it tightly and snip off one corner.
  5. Select unbroken Doritos, and using a small, sharp knife, create a pocket in each chip.
  6. Fill each chip pocket with the creamy mixture using the piping bag. Repeat until all chips are filled.
  7. Place the stuffed Doritos in a single layer on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  8. Transfer the chilled stuffed Doritos onto a serving platter and garnish with finely chopped green onions or smoked paprika.
