Steps to Prepare
- In a small saucepan, combine fresh blueberries and lemon juice over medium heat. Stir occasionally as the mixture heats up, allowing it to gently simmer for about 7 minutes.
- Once the blueberries have popped, remove the saucepan from heat. Carefully pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a measuring cup, using the back of a spoon to press down gently on the solids.
- Transfer the strained blueberry juice into a large pitcher.
- Add cold water and sugar to the pitcher with the blueberry juice. Stir vigorously until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Once well mixed, place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
- When you’re ready to serve, grab some ice and pour the chilled blueberry lemonade into glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or a few whole blueberries.
