Method
 

Marinating and Cooking
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken and marinate for at least one hour, ideally overnight.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until blended and frothy.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with butter until melted. Dip bread slices into the egg mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, dredge in flour, dip back in buttermilk, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a separate skillet. Fry breaded chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Assemble the sandwich with a slice of French toast, fried chicken, another slice of French toast, and drizzle with maple syrup.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.
