Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
For the Sauce
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine such as Chardonnay
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped or use dried if preferred

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually 8-10 minutes. Reserve about a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat until foaming gently.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter, stirring frequently. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for around 4-5 minutes until they are pink and opaque.
  5. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice along with red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted.
  7. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
