Step-by-Step Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine or spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp in a single layer, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, whisking together. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer on low for 3-5 minutes.
- Fold in cooked pasta and sautéed shrimp into the skillet with the sauce. Toss for 2-3 minutes, adding reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with freshly chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.

Notes
Pat shrimp dry for a great sear. Use low heat for cream addition. Reserve pasta water for sauce adjusting. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
