For the Crust
  • 24 pieces Golden Oreos Substitute with regular Oreos or graham crackers if desired
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 1 pinch Salt Optional
For the Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Softened and at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Pure is recommended
  • 1 cup Confectioners Sugar Sweetens the cheesecake
  • 1 cup Whipped Topping (Cool Whip) Thawed
  • 1 cup Diced Strawberries Patted dry
For the Jello Layer
  • 1 package Strawberry Jell-O Mix Can substitute with raspberry or cherry
  • 1 cup Boiling Water For preparing the Jello
  • 1 cup Ice Water For Jello mix
For Garnishing
  • Additional Strawberries Optional
  • Golden Oreo Crumbs Optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Process 24 Golden Oreos into fine crumbs. Combine with melted butter and salt, then press into a baking pan. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  2. Beat cream cheese and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, then fold in whipped topping and strawberries. Spread over the crust and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Combine Jell-O mix with boiling water, then add ice water. Allow to cool and fold in whipped topping. Layer over the cheesecake and smooth out.
  4. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight. Garnish and serve cut into squares.
