Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, cornstarch, and baking soda until fully combined.
- In a large bowl, beat the room temperature unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the large egg, egg yolk, and pure vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until smoothly combined.
- Gradually fold in the whisked dry ingredients until just barely combined.
- Gently fold in the bittersweet chocolate chips.
- Portion out the dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each scoop.
- Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers appear slightly soft.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes on the sheets before transferring to a wire rack.
