  • 2 cups Mango, chopped fresh or frozen
  • 2 pieces Habanero Peppers, chopped seeds removed for less heat
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce low-sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice fresh preferred
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or other mild oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium-sized pot, add chopped ripe mangoes, habanero peppers, honey, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, and olive oil. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Place the pot over medium heat and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and puree the sauce with an immersion blender until smooth.
  4. If too thick, return to heat, adding a splash of water or lime juice and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool, then transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate.
