Ingredients
  

For the Brownies
  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Creamy Glaze
  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar adjust for thickness
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk adjust for desired consistency
  • 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries optional for garnish

Method
 

Brownie Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan completely.
  5. In another bowl, mix strawberry preserves and softened cream cheese. Gradually add powdered sugar and salt, and then milk.
  6. Once the brownies are cool, lift them from the pan and spread the glaze on top. Garnish with freeze-dried strawberries if desired.
  7. Cut the brownies into squares and serve.
