Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Iced Orange Cinnamon Milk Tea
  1. Start by pouring 1 cup of fresh water into a small pot. Place it over medium-high heat and bring the water to a vigorous boil.
  2. Once your water is boiling, add the peel of half an orange and a cinnamon stick to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and let this aromatic mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now it's time to introduce the black tea to your simmering blend. Add either 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon of loose leaf black tea to the pot.
  4. Carefully pour the brewed mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a cup or heatproof jug, discarding the remnants of the orange peel and the cinnamon stick.
  5. While the tea is still hot, stir in 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix well to ensure the sugar dissolves completely.
  6. Pour in 1 cup of your preferred milk. Place the pot back on the stove and heat gently for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. If desired, you can strain the mixture once more to ensure an ultra-smooth texture. Finally, garnish your Iced Orange Cinnamon Milk Tea with an orange peel twist or an orange slice.
