- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
- Add 8 ounces of sliced sausage to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- In the same skillet, add 4 cloves of minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Toss in 3 cups of broccoli florets and sauté for 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked sausage and add 1 pound of shrimp, 1/3 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar. Stir gently to combine.
- Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- If desired, whisk together 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water, then add to the skillet and stir for about 1 minute.
- Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes as needed.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
