- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Wash and trim broccoli florets. Optionally blanch in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then plunge into ice-cold water.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Chop into small pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine broccoli, bacon, onion, cranberries, and almonds. Toss gently.
- Drizzle dressing over salad mixture and toss gently until everything is coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
- Once chilled, toss gently before serving as a side dish.
