Step-by-Step Instructions for Broccoli and Mushroom Stir Fry
  1. Begin by washing your fresh broccoli and cutting it into bite-sized florets. Slice your choice of mushrooms and onion thinly. Mince the garlic and ginger finely.
  2. In a large skillet, pour in vegetable oil and heat it over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring quickly for about 30 seconds.
  4. Toss in the sliced onions and sauté them for 2–3 minutes until they become translucent and slightly soft.
  5. Incorporate the sliced mushrooms into the skillet, cooking for about 3–4 minutes until they are tender and golden brown.
  6. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 5–6 minutes until bright green while maintaining a slight crunch.
  7. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring well to coat all the vegetables evenly, and allow to simmer for about 1 minute.
  8. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir fry and stir for about a minute until heated through.
  9. Taste your stir fry and adjust salt and pepper if necessary.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
