  • 1 teaspoon Salt Essential for balanced taste.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Soft Purple Sweet Potato Buns
  1. Peel and chop the purple sweet potato. Steam until fork-tender.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine the sweet potato, warm milk, and melted butter with dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough for 8 to 12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough, divide into equal portions, shape into balls.
  7. Let shaped buns rise for 30 to 45 minutes.
